Setup and symbol formats

NOTE:
You must have QuoteTracker version 3.3.3F or higher to be able to use eSignal datafeed with QuoteTracker.
If you have an older version of QuoteTracker, start QuoteTracker then select OPTIONS/WebUpdate and let QuoteTracker update all files.
When QT restart, let it WebUpdate again (you should be prompted)

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
|
You can now use QuoteTracker to access eSignal Level I quotes, Level II, Backfill and streaming news. The proccess is slightly different than with other data vendors, so please follow the instructions below:

Download the latest version of QuoteTracker and install it. |
|
Get the latest eSignal Data Manager component
and install it on your computer. |
|
Start QuoteTracker, select OPTIONS/Data Sources menu and specify eSignal as the data source on the QUOTES, Level II, INDICES, Backfill and NEWS/STREAMING tabs. On the Level II configuration screen, click on the "Reset all LII windows to this source" button.

If needed, click START button to initiate the streaming quotes.

SYMBOL FORMATS
|
|

eSignal Symbol Lookup page.
QuoteTracker uses standard eSignal symbology. Some of the common eSignal formats are covered below.
US STOCKS - Just enter the symbol
OPTIONS - Enter the root symbol (usually three letters), a space, the month code, then strike price code. For example, DELL FEB 25 CALL options would be DLQ BE
FUTURES - eSignal Futures Symbol formats
NON-US STOCKS - SYMBOL-EXC Where EXC is the exchange code. For example, LON for London, SWX for Swiss.
